I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. copyright status

I've removed the statement that the film is currently in the Public Domain, as the US Copyright Office lists the film as having it's US rights restored (see document dated 22/Aug/1997). Davepattern 17:17, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

NPOV

Removed: "He had been commissioned to transform a stage play into a movie, and stuck strictly to the plot, without adding the same personal flair that stood out in his previous film, Murder!." - the term "personal flair" especially is very vague and POV.

I think something needs to be done about the following passage:

"Hitchcock was bored throughout the making of the Skin Game and spent most of the shoot demonstrating for the cast how he wanted them to act. According to one account, his performances were "much more vivid ... than they ever achieved themselves". The highlight for him was when the stage hands threw Phyllis Konstam into the lily pond; he made them rehearse this at least ten times."

The tone of this is very biased and almost sarcastic, and the claims made are vague and unverified. Did Hitch say he was bored? Whose "account" was that quote "according to"? Is it verifiable to say that was the highlight for him? I will just put a bunch of citation needed tags in there, but I feel like the whole passage should be radically revised or just removed. I think the claim that Hitchcock "made" the crew repeatedly throw an actress into a pond, apparently for his own amusement, is quite a significant one that should be properly sourced or removed. Hopefully someone more knowledgable than I can provide citations and save this article's credibility... Omgplz (talk) 09:15, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

I agree with that. Hitchcock was certainly less happy with his job at the time (due to the high work load BIP were imposing on him), but I can't recall ever reading those statements before.
