Let's use some common sense
editBatman issues 450 and 451 were published in 1990. The cited source claiming the comic was published in 2001 clearly refers to a Batman Beyond comic book adaptation of the Batman Beyond animated film "Return of the Joker" which was published in 2001 and is not referring to the storyline of the same name from Batman 450 and 451. I tried to remove this because it's pretty obvious it's a mistake but my changes were reverted because of a lack of a citation. Except I'm not entirely sure what the deal is because the source for the Batman Beyond comic book issue is already pretty plainly obviously not referring to Batman 450-451. How can we clearly show that "Return of the Joker" as a storyline from the 1990 issues of Batman 450-451 are not the same as the 2001 graphic novel adaptation of the Batman Beyond animated film of the same name? 174.168.218.129 (talk) 11:48, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
- You removed and didn't replace the only citation in the article. Please see wp:V. I would agree with your assessment on that citation. If there are no non-wp:PRIMARY sources, perhaps the article does not meet wp:notability and should be deleted? I would think there should be a number of sources on this, but I'm not familiar with this topic. See wp:citing sources on adding a source. For deletion, please wp:PROD the article (if there has not been a previous prod). If previously PRODed, please use wp:AfD. Also suggest using a wp:RfC for more eyes. - I have taken the bold move of deciding to remove the only given source as it seemed irrelevant and even harmful to the actual article at hand (it cites an entirely different comic of a similar name). Since it feels like it meets the criteria for adding the unreferenced tag (there are zero citations, or as the template guideline mentions, a source that supports any of the article content), I have added that as well.
- As there are talks prior, deletion should be taken into consideration, as Wikipedia is not a fandom page, going into detail about storylines of niche tales as this article does; I would like more opinions on this however, perhaps there is someone who can add another source.
