editThis article seems like an advertisement ("Also, look for whoever to make an appearance"). In addition, where is all of this unsourced information coming from?Irk(talk) 22:08, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- Copyright violation. Material was taken directly from the show's website. Probably a vanity placement by an MTV flack. I've removed it. --Tenebrae 18:38, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
This is the IP number I caught that pasted that advertisement-like info, 66.66.96.240, in case you're interested. I didnt look at the edits, but I saw that all of the contributions from that user were all on Real World pages so I think that probably answers our question about that. editIs it both Shavoun and Trisha who leave or just Trisha?199.80.117.25 15:16, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Who said that anyone leaves? can you provide a link to the article? thanks Lue3378 10:44, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

- Trisha is kicked out after pushing Parisa in an altercation. After the conflict, Parisa says she does not feel safe in the house and casts the lone vote for Trisha's ouster.
Added citation - USA TODAY- that actually links within its contents to page first cited.
Returned secondary citation. If the source is good enough for USATODAY, it is good enough for Wikipedia.
Page Lockdown
editIt looks like now that the page is locked down the people that were updating it are no longer adding additional episode summaries. I viewed the edits made that were cited for this extreme turn of events and they were really minor - it was not vandalism. Each edit was a different IP and all the data added was actually correct, albeit not properly sourced.
Basically this page is dead until it is unlocked. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tubious (talk • contribs) 21:07, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- No, the information was not vandalism, but since there seems to be some concerted effort to add Ashli's alleged last name without providing a credible source, with a new IP number posting that info each time I politely tell the last one not to do this, I locked the page until perhaps the season ends, and/or a credible source is provided for that info.
- However, this does not mean that I am no longer adding additional episode summaries, and I have no idea where you got that idea from. I'm adding the summaries as they become available at mtv.com, and as time permits. Moreover, other editors can add that info too, as long as they're not anonymous or newly registered ones. In addition, you can still suggest and discuss edits to the article here on this Talk Page, as it says in the banner at top of hte article that announces the semi-protection. Thus, there is nothing "dead" about the article. Nightscream (talk) 23:24, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
It was not a concerted effort per say, but rather it is common knowledge Robson is her last name and they were independently updating the page to reflect that.
Well this is driving me crazy so maybe you can fix it: Production lasted from February to May 26, 2007, though the duration of the cast's stay in the house was four months.
I am not sure what that is trying to say, but it is just not right.- Tubious —Preceding comment was added at 05:28, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- First, you can sign and date your posts by adding four tildes (~~~~) at the end of them. That will cause your username and the date to show up once you hit "Save page". As for Ashli's last name, I don't see how it's "common knowledge". It is not mentioned on the show, nor anywhere that I could find at mtv.com, and she's hardly a household name, so I'm not sure how you assert that it's common knowledge. In any event, if you want to add it, you have to provide a credible source for it, as per Wikipedia policy. As for the Intro, it seems pretty self-explanatory. The production crew worked on producing the show on location during the above dates, but the cast only lived in the house for four months. Nightscream (talk) 17:04, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
February through May 26th is four months. That is why it is confusing. So the way I read it is, "Production lasted 4 months, though the duration of the casts stay in the house was only four months." It seems "bulky" at best. As for Ashli's last name, it is common knowledge on reality forums and websites. I guess we can wait until larger entity says it is so. Her myspace address BTW is http://www.myspace.com/ashlirrobson. Tubious (talk) 17:28, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing out my error with regard to the dates. For some reason in my head, I kept thinking "January", rather than February. I corrected that. As for Ashli's name, what an unspecified number of people know on forums hardly constitutes "common knowledge", and in any case, Wikipedia does not consider blogs and MySpace pages to be credible sources, because the information on them is unverifiable, and MS is notorious for having many pages purporting to be those of celebrities that in actuality are created by fans. Hopefully mtv.com will indicate her last name eventually. Thanks again! Nightscream (talk) 17:58, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Since I cannot edit the page.* There is a spelling mistake: Look for "anke", it should read "ankle". Cohutta sprained his _ankle_.
- Thanks. In the future, please place messages at the bottom of a discussion. Thanks again. Nightscream (talk) 18:06, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Plot cleanup
editWhy is every single detail of every single episode listed here in this article? This is unnecessary and needs some serious trimming down. Tagged accordingly with Plot tag until this is done. Ejfetters (talk) 01:30, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- In the first place, the synopses do not list every single detail, just those most pertinent to the plot. Secondly, I've been thinking for some time about splitting off the synopses into their own article, and leaving heavily edited capsule versions of them here, just soon as I get a chance. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 06:15, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I've just trimmed the episode synopses. Nightscream (talk) 09:38, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Image
editThere is a photo of cast member Dunbar Flinn at Wikimedia Commons - Image:Dunbar Flinn.jpg. I'm not sure whether it would be useful here or not - leaving that up to the primary editors of this article. Videmus Omnia Talk 00:27, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Is that Dunbar's girlfriend Julie? If so, then since I'm going to split off the episode synopses section into its own article, maybe that pic would be appropriate to accompany the episode in which Julie visits. Nightscream (talk) 04:03, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes, that is Julie Kurdelmeyer, Dunbar Merrill's girlfriend. Zredsox (talk) 17:49, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Kelly Ann's age
editKelly Ann Judd is in this public voter database with her address and age. I didn't post her address, just her age. Its common knowledge on her myspace page that she now lives in Austin.

OddibeKerfeld (talk) 23:26, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- First of all, the article already stated her age as twenty at time of filming, and I even inserted a source next to it from mtv.com that supports it, so I don't know why you think it needs another one, especially since it was your prior edit that indicated that she was 21. Second, nothing at that url mentions Kelly Anne at all, or her age. Lastly, Wikipedia does not consider MySpace pages to be reliable sources, and they certainly aren't "common knowledge". Why people keep using this phrase to refer to stuff on MySpace, I'll never understand. Nightscream (talk) 03:58, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Main photo
editThe main photo should be changed to one that includes the majority of the cast and shows the initial cast members.
Good promo photos are at the following sites. Please use one and switch it:

or

- Thanks for the suggestion, but it appears the current photo does have the majority of the cast. Feel free to upload a new photo if you find a better one, but make sure it satisfies WP:NFCC. Thanks. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 19:04, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
KellyAnne vs. Kelly Anne
editI just noticed that on mtv.com it states her name is "KellyAnne" (No space). Is there any reason we have it with a space on here and on the challenges she's appeared on?http://www.mtv.com/shows/real_world/sydney/cast.jhtml Wikiguy09 (talk) 04:41, 4 December 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikiguy09 (talk • contribs) 04:38, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
