Cast table vs. cast list: One or the other, not both edit

There is no reason for both a cast of characters table AND a list in prose below it. They provide duplicate information. The table adds no additional value to the article. Both methods provide actor name, character name, occupation, and whether they are recurring or main cast. (Also, until there is a season 2, there is no need for mention of season 1.) Generally, Wiki prose is preferred to tables, and at MOS:TV#Cast_information, tables are not mentioned for this purpose. My inclination would be to remove the table, but I will leave the choice up to consensus. --Logical Fuzz (talk) 17:06, 14 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure what everyone else feels about this, I would just note that the following TV articles utilise both: NCIS (TV series), Rizzoli & Isles, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Harry's Law, Criminal Minds Pat (talk) 19:14, 14 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Please note that WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS and/or WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS are not valid reasons for inclusion. In addition, none of the cited pages are feature articles (articles of the highest quality in Wiki). You will not see those tables on feature articles, such as House (TV series), Cold Feet, Making Waves (TV series) or Degrassi: The Next Generation. --Logical Fuzz (talk) 19:47, 14 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
