Outside references edit

I think references in popular culture should be mentioned, most notably Battleship. After all I heard the theme in that film's opening sequence. Visokor (talk) 14:33, 4 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Gypsy scale edit

"which is derived from the Hungarian minor scale (gypsy/romani scale[1])" I find this pretty dubious and I doubt the composer said this, and that rather it is speculation from the author of that book. The "unusual chromaticisms" in the Pink Panther theme usually come from sliding down from a note of the E minor scale, for instance the pairs D#-E, F#-G, B-C and A#-B. When you think of them as pairs of adjacent semitones and how the idea of playing them together is used throughout the main theme then you can see quite clearly that there's no need for a Romani explanation. Therefore I think that this bit of speculation shouldn't be presented as if it was certain fact. --90.156.104.160 (talk) 12:18, 27 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
