Genre edit

My only reference is my ears, unfortunately there has been little professional commentary on this album. But what little commentary there has been establishes this has a much heavier sound than their previous albums. Frankly the review from the Toronto Sun sounds like the person doesn't know what they are talking about, as they claim it sounds like previous Chevelle albums, but it doesn't. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.219.236.163 (talk) 01:53, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
- Interesting opinion. If you were paid for that opinion, like the Toronto Star writer is, and had editor oversight of your written content, like the Toronto Star writer is, we could take your ears' opinion. Since you're not and no one cares to review this album, we have two choices:
- take what we can find and complain about the reviewers, or
- delete everything.

- Yeah, since genres are largely subjective categorizations, the "my reference is my ears" argument doesn't usually fly, unless you have any reliable sources backing you up, per WP:SUBJECTIVE. We prefer to go what reliable sources describes an album over an editor's opinion. Unless you can find at least two reliable sources stating that this album moves away from Chevelle's post-grunge sound (cancelling out the source that does call the album post-grunge), it should stay. Yeah, I understand the issue. All I've got is the all-music review saying it's their heaviest album, which on the side lists the genres as alternative metal and heavy metal, but doesn't explicitly say it's a move away from post-grunge or really directly comment on it's genre.
