Good Article nomination has failed
editThe Good article nomination for The Man (Bill Drummond album) has failed, for the following reason:
- Mostly it's great, but I think the 'songs' section can't really be said to be broad in its coverage at the moment. Maybe merge it with another section, or expand it to a couple of paragraphs in length. Also, the lead could do with being a little bit longer, and it's marked as a stub which it surely shouldn't be. - Whoops! You're quite correct. --kingboyk 00:56, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
"tastefully understated"
editQuite possibly the last ever Drummond project to be reviewed thus? :) --kingboyk 19:30, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
The page for this song says that the Bill Drummond version of this song is a cover version of the well-known Dusty Springfield song. However this article says 'all songs written by Bill Drummond except "Going Back" (Goffin/King) and "Such A Parcel Of Rogues In A Nation" (words by Robert Burns, music traditional)' - which means the 'Son of a Preacher Man' on this album was written by Bill Drummond; is this the same as the Dusty Springfield song - if so, the album credits should be modified, if not, the song page should be updated. 121.219.110.229 (talk) 12:02, 27 November 2007 (UTC)nath80
- Different songs altogether as far as I know. Listening to Drummond's song now and I don't hear any similarity with Dusty's song whatsoever. --kingboyk (talk) 18:17, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for clearing that up, and amending the page for the Dusty Springfield song. Helps to keep info consistent between articles to avoid confusion! 58.168.140.38 (talk) 11:55, 28 November 2007 (UTC)nath80
