Fantasy
editI won't change it without a little discussion first, but shouldn't this book be listed under Fantasy rather than Science Fiction? Based on the description provided here. If not remove the SF tag altogether, I still feel we should add the Fantasy genre as well. What say you? - Quaternions (talk) 08:31, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
The book is sci-fi. The step ability is left unexplained, although several possible scientific theories are posited. Elves and trolls are just fanciful mythological names for humanoid natural stepping species from deeper into the long earth, with a side order of "Perhaps these are the things that those myths are really based on". The impression given by the book is that none of the things within are magical, although they are beyond current human scientific understanding. 80.2.68.221 (talk) 12:10, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
