Hello! I am going to have to fail this article's GA nomination. Although a nice start, this article has multiple problems that prevent it from being a GA at this time. I believe these issues will take a large amount of time and effort to fix, and so I am not placing the article on hold. Here is a sampling of the areas where the article fails to meet the good article criteria:
- A major banner on top of the article. This needs to be resolved before the article can become a GA.
- A recent history (within hours) of copyright violations. The article should be completely combed for copyright violations and should be stable for at least a few days before it is renominated for GA.
- Large swaths with no references. For example, the entire History section has no references.
- Role played by a Chartered Accountant section - sections should not consist of only one sentence. Expand this or combine it with another section. It also needs to be referenced.
- Links to external websites should not be included in the body of the article, as they are in the Chartered Accountancy Course or Membership Course section among others. These should instead be converted into references or moved to an External links section.
- Web references should include titles, publishers and access dates at the very least.
- Primary sources (sources published by the subject of the article) should not be used as the major source of information for the article. Currently, eight of the nine references are to the ICAI. Many more references by outside bodies (books, newspapers, journals, etc) should be included, as companies rarely publish negative information about themselves and so are a potentially biased source at best.
Due to these issues, among others, this article cannot be listed as a GA at this time. Please do not renominate this article until at the very least the copyright violations have been thoroughly dealt with and the article stable for a reasonable period of time. The other issues listed above need to be resolved before the article is seriously considered for GA status. Reading the good article criteria is probably a good place to start. Please let me know if you have any questions. Dana boomer (talk) 00:54, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
