Talk:The In Sound from Way Out! (Perrey and Kingsley album)

The track "Gypsy in Rio" also contains borrowed music

edit

I was listening to the track and I noticed it borrows the melody from a known Gypsy Jazz standard: Dark Eyes (also known as Les yeux noirs )

The article originally says all tracks are original composition except two, but it should say three. Would the original author like to confirm? I didn't want to go ahead and change it without putting the word out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hernanlabbe (talkcontribs) 21:29, 29 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

That song you talk about is from the album The Amazing New Electronic Pop Sound of Jean-Jacques Perrey, the only song on that album that is based on another existing song is "Frere Jean-Jacques", based in Frere Jacques. But maybe "Gypsy in Rio" is also based in that topic that you mention, but I need to confirm it to include it in the article. --186.20.237.222 (talk) 20:14, 17 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
