Tundro merge

I do not believe a merge is the proper thing in this case. I think this character needs it's own article and that it should only be summarised on the herculoids page.

Oddly enough, though the group was a family the three chose to call each other by name instead of giving them family titles such as "Mom" or "Dad", only the villains ever seemed to vocal this bond, adding even more strangeness to the mix.

Aside from the fact that this was not composed very well, it is inaccurate, but more so than NBK1122 indicates. In even the original series, Dorno addressed Tara (about my spelling, see new thread below) as "Mother." The situation struck me as too similar to that of the old Tarzan movies to be coincidental (Boy [Johnny Sheffield] addressed Tarzan [Johnny Weissmuller] by his name, but Jane [initially Maureen O'Sullivan, then Brenda Joyce] was "Mother"). Now I'm saying this just to explain why my memory of this is so clear, not suggesting that the comparison be placed in the article; no citable statement, of course. As that passage is too far off the beam (and unsourced), I am going to remove it from the article, but if anybody wants to discuss the point, I'm open to it. --Ted Watson (talk) 20:56, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Tarra or Tara?

In this article, the female character's name is spelled "Tarra." However, while the IMDb does that as well, the other two ext. link sites, TV.com and the Big Cartoon Database, both render it "Tara," which is what this longtime fan always thought it was. I'm going to look for more sources, but I hereby also throw the point open for discussion. --Ted Watson (talk) 20:56, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Based on Alex Toth's (character designer and arguably the creator of The Herculoids) model sheets, her name is spelled "Tara" with one "r". Dcmatthews (talk) 05:25, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

First appearance

In the intro we find: "...the Space Ghost episode "The Molten Monsters of Moltar" (their first televised appearance prior to the Herculoids series premiere)." However, the premiere is placed on September 9, 1967 and the first airing of the SG episode a week later, September 16! This is according to the two series' Wiki articles, and their IMDb listings (well, it specifies this premiere date, but has few airdates for specific episodes). TV.com agrees with the SG episode air date, but has ridiculous dates for the first three Herculoids episodes, and no more until the Space Stars revival. Anybody want to challenge any or all of these dates, or do I rewrite the passage to remove the claim that the SG appearance came first? --Tbrittreid (talk) 23:35, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
