Michael Caine's final film

How accurate is it?

Obviously, Bernard "escaped" and travelled to France, along with the accompanying media frenzy on the way back, but did he meet an alcoholic airman and German soldiers? 90.243.101.191 (talk) 22:15, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

I very much doubt it. And presumably all the dialogue between the two leads had to be imagined as well. But it's a much better film that it would have been if it had stuck rigidly to the known facts. JH (talk page) 17:30, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
