Critical Reaction

It was the end of Macaulay Culkin's career, and generally forgotten by the movie-going public.

I removed this sentence. The first statement is simply not true and the second is, if not completely subjective, difficult to source. 68.14.76.151 07:06, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

The fact remains tough, this movie was pretty bad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.109.102.252 (talk) 17:24, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

Novel content added

I have in the past year discovered that a chap named Todd Strasser wrote novels for 3 of the 4 "Home Alone" movies, along with one for "The Good Son" in 1993. I've read all four books and while the "Home Alone" novels are rather so-so, Todd Strasser's "The Good Son" is an outstanding book and easily one of Strasser's best works. I noted some very important things about the book, such as the greater detail it goes into about who Henry is and why. It's really too bad the movie wasn't more like the book- Strasser does not try to excuse Henry's cold and heartless nature, but at least offers us a far better reason for it than the movie's vague "Henry is evil" bit. I don't know how to provide sources for any of what I wrote, but I think it's plenty important that we include mention of Strasser's novel. If only the movie had been as good. • Citing the book is fine on the page. Freshh (talk) 03:32, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Someone needs to severely edit this page

Just wanted to let you know someone changed the genders of all the characters and messed with the plot, I don't know if they were doing it as a joke or they were just doing it to act stupid.2605:6000:6BC3:1500:F136:2B0E:37A7:EC4 (talk) 03:29, 1 June 2015 (UTC) A concerned reader.

This page is riddled with various inaccuracies and needs to be severely edited by someone who has more knowledge about the plot synopsis.

Why does this page say that Brian Bonsall played Mark's role? HUGE ERROR! Elijah Wood did. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ro kaleid (talkcontribs) 22:27, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

I am editing the description of the ending, which is patently wrong. The mother dropped the overwhelmingly evil son in exchange for the life of her nephew. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.64.90.33 (talk) 12:02, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
