Edits/Changes

edit

I am planning on making some changes to the article in the coming weeks. First, I plan on rewriting the reception section to clean up the existing information as well as adding other positive reviews. I will also be adding a portion about how the book was challenged in school curricula. I am also planning to touch up the plot section as it currently has a "excessively detailed" notice. By doing this, I hope to prioritize certain growth and turning moments in the memoir while also making it easier for readers to understand. Lastly, I will update the lead section to be more in line with Wikipedia's guidelines; currently it is overly specific, does not properly incorporate all sections in the article, and has outdated statistics on the amount of copies sold and languages translated. I have added an annotated bibliography to my Wikipedia dashboard sandbox, feel free to go through it and add to the talk page if you have any comments: User:Saconway22/The Glass Castle/Bibliography Saconway22 (talk) 02:27, 3 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have addressed the template message concerning the plot summary being "too long or excessively detailed." If any editors would like to read through the new summary and determine whether the template message can be removed that would be great. As I wrote the new summary, I feel as though it is best to have another editor determine this so it is not biased. If you have any comments, feel free to add to the talk page.Saconway22 (talk) 17:27, 15 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
