Question edit

[1] - was this before or after it was released though? I'm guessing after... EunuchOmerta 22:56, 18 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Vinyl? edit

Anyone know if this album has been released on vinyl? The mastering on the CD is absolutely awful, so I think a vinyl version may be worth checking out (then again, it may not be, but either way it'd be cool to have). 64.53.37.3 (talk) 05:53, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Possible copyright violation edit

I did a quick search on google for the info most recently added by 69.14.32.188, and it turned up on on this website. If anyone wants to do anything about this I just wanted to let them know, I'm not too brushed up on my edit skills or anything. Rem523 04:22, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

On second thought, I'm just gonna revert to the last edit. Rem523 04:22, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mike Sapone is not producing this album.

Limousine edit

The citation for the meaning of "Limousine" is an opinion forum??? Gimme a break...

Actually Jesse has given very strong hints at live shows that the song is about that incident. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.138.132.54 (talk) 03:28, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Are we merging this with New Album Demos or not? edit

Leak edit

It may be worth noting that today, November 2, a "sampler" leaked out containing 4 songs -- Sowing Season, Archers, Jesus Christ, and Not the Sun. --69.250.160.4 03:30, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

The full length will leak soon enough, so this isn't really important. Evan Reyes 04:10, 4 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • Yeah, the leak info doesn't need to be here. Wieners
  • full leak was today --69.250.160.4 03:50, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • Actually, it was last night. But it still doesn't belong on this page, stop posting it. Wieners 18:12, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • i didn't post it on the article, i am noting in the talk just for the record. --69.250.160.4 20:00, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Track list edit

I believe the track list is incorrect. I looked it up on several other web sites, including the band's official site. On here, the following tracks may be incorrect: 'Milestone', 'Jesus', 'Limousine (MS Rebridge)', and 'The Archer's Bows Have Broken'

I could be wrong, but the official site lists these tracks as 'Millstone', 'Jesus Christ', 'Limousine', and 'Archers'

So I'll be editing these tracks because I honestly think their wrong on here.

  • I have the CD, I got my preorder three days early. On the insert it says 'Jesus' 'Limousine (MS rebridge)' 'The Archer's Bows HAVE Broken' and 'Millstone'.

The track is supposed to be title "Archers," and what is listed as "--" is actually "Untitled." This is from the actual information coded into the CD.

There is no "information coded into the CD", you may be receiving an incorrect tracklist from an online music database, such as Gracenote or freedb. --69.140.240.105 20:58, 2 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

The information I posted is correct, here is a link to the official Brand New online store, selling the cd with a list of the track names. You can also check the iTunes online store, or Amazon for the track listing, and you will get the same information. http://www.merchdirect.net/BrandNew/CDs/The_Devil_and_God_Are_Raging_Inside_Me_CD?productid=7023

The track list is INCORRECT and needs to be changed. These are NOT the names of the tracks and are WRONG as listed!

Please see [2]. This is also what it says on the CD inlay. -Halo 20:09, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Okay, I've hopefully reached a compromise by listing both and an explaination. Please also sign all posts with four tidles so I can see who's commenting. Thanks. -Halo 20:17, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Title of Track 3 edit

It was changed from Jesus to Jesus Christ, but the fact remains that the liner notes say "Jesus," only the iTunes DB entry says Jesus Christ from what I know, and that isn't exactly a great source since the entry got the title of the album wrong, among other things. Is there any reputable source that states it's definitely Jesus Christ? Because otherwise I think it's best to differ to the liner notes. --DMurphy 03:58, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes the information coded into the cd lists the song as "Jesus Christ"

There is no "coded information" (CD-Text) on the CD. Whatever program you are using is getting the track information from some online source. I say stick with the liner notes. Themissingframe 21:46, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Some user added their text before my signature... the second line is not something that I said. -DMurphy 06:41, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

In a radio interview before playing the song, Lacey referred to it as "Jesus Christ."

Genre edit

It simply isn't progressive rock.

Fair use rationale for Image:Thedevilandgodareraginginsideme.jpg edit

Image:Thedevilandgodareraginginsideme.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Vinyl release section edit

I have added a {{fancruft}} tag to the vinyl release section as it contains an excessive amount of intricate detail that would probably only interest the vinyl nerds out there. Is there a source that contains all of this information that might make a useful external link? Even if it falls outside Wikipedia's standards of a reliable source, it might still be okay. Consequence of Sound citation edit

The article talks about the tenth anniversary of the record being a source of critical discussion, and as an example references a nonexistent Consequence of Sound article: "https://consequence.net/2016/11/brand-news-the-devil-and-god-are-raging-inside-me-turns-10/". This leads to a 404. The Consequence article does exist, however... at this URL: https://consequence.net/2017/08/brand-news-the-devil-and-god-are-raging-inside-me-turns-10/. It's definitely the same article, featuring the same quotations and URL text, but purports to have actually been published in August of 2017 (as the URL shows). Unless the person who initially edited the reference in in March 2017 had future vision, this seems unlikely. Still, I'd think weird Consequence revisionism is irrelevant to Wikipedia and just updating the URL would suffice... only, this newer version of the article seems to have been stripped of all reference to it being the tenth anniversary of the album, aside from the URL which no longer matches the title. It seems someone at Consequence decided it would be better to just have it be an article about the album itself rather than a celebration of it being a decade old. So does it even still fit in the section? I'm confused as to what to do. Nerdwizard (talk) 19:55, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
