When this season starts, could we get a list of people who will edit the article as to avoid edit conflicts?? I think it would be easier this way. Three editors would be good (1 for the leg tasks, one for the U-Turns and one for the leg placings. Airlinesguy (talk) 08:25, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Express Pass vs Salvage Pass edit
Express Pass can used to 8th leg and expired only once. but Salvage Pass can used to ????? leg and expired only ??? times.
Can you give example "salvage pass"???

Unaired Roadblock clue edit
I've heard of the unaired Roadblock in leg 4 and already saw the Roadblock clue of Shane & Andrew. But I wanna ask who really was holding that clue? Because I hear it's Shane but some say it's Andrew. I just wanna know. Mr. Tagle (talk) 15:14, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

U-Turn Table edit
Again to avoid unecessary clutter, is it better to edit the U-Turn table to only include legs on which a U-Turn actually featured? Example:

In leg 3, the 15 minute penalty is part of the task, not a penalty to do with breaking rules nor was it served at the pitstop. As it is part of a task in the leg, it does not need to be mentioned in the table and has been removed. Having a reference next to 5 of the teams is messy and irrelevant. - Agreed, technically it's breaking the rule of the task that states you must not break more than 15 pots, should you do so you will serve a 15 minute penalty. It needs to be mentioned because obviously teams that were affected were at a disadvantage because they had to wait at the drop off location for 15 minutes essentially losing their place 86.15.195.205 (talk) 00:45, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- It is not "breaking the rules" as you are talking about the rules of the race; this is a task with a consequence for failure and therefore should not be mentioned in the table. Whilst not performing tasks correctly usually gets a team sent back to try again, there are instances when that is not possible or doesn't affect the team much (such as getting an answer wrong without a penalty would just allow the team to keep guessing), so in these circumstances, a consequence for failure is added. There have been many "penalties" for not performing tasks up to a certain standard, some are time based, some are extra tasks. Here is a list of some:
The Amazing Race: Australia 1 - Leg 5 - If teams failed to find a clue at the sand dunes task they received a varying time penalty depending on how large the hourglass they uncovered was.
The Amazing Race: Australia 1 - Leg 7 - If teams failed to perform the tower task correctly they were given an additional task of counting the steps.
The Amazing Race: Australia 1 - Leg 11 - If teams failed to find the clue in the gondola, they had to perform a full rotation, in essence, a 20 minute time penalty.
The Amazing Race: Australia 2 - Leg 4 - If teams failed to bet on the correct horse they would have to perform an additional task of carrying their team mate 200 metres.
The Amazing Race 5 - Leg 1 - If teams lost all their chips in the "Chips" detour, they were forced to complete the "Zips" side of the detour.
The Amazing Race 8 - Leg 5 - If teams didn't manage missed 3 pitches in the roadblock, they lost their place and had to wait until the other teams had tried before being allowed to try again.
The Amazing Race 11 - Leg 13 - If teams did not guess their partners answers during the safe task, they were handed their clue after the time had elapsed.
The Amazing Race 12 - Leg 4 - In the "Shake Your Booty" detour, if teams failed to dance to a high enough level they received a 10 minute time penalty before receiving their next clue which is exactly the same as this.
The Amazing Race 13 - Leg 10 - If teams guessed incorrectly during the roadblock, they received a 10 minute time penalty which is the same as this.
The Amazing Race 15 - Leg 1 - If racers failed to eat the wasabi bomb in 2 minutes during the roadblock, they had to repeat the task.
The Amazing Race 15 - Leg 2 - If the racer didn't complete the roadblock within 10 minutes they would have to wait until the other racers had gone in front of them before they could try again.
The Amazing Race 16 - Leg 11 - If teams guessed incorrectly during the roadblock, they received a 10 minute time penalty which is the same as this.
The Amazing Race Asia 4 - Leg 1 - Teams received a 2 minute time penalty for each goal they didn't save.
The Amazing Race Asia 4 - Leg 6 - If teams didn't score a touchdown within 10 attempts, they received a 10 minute time penalty.
The Amazing Race Asia 4 - Leg 7 - If teams didn't make the bed correctly within 4 attempts, they received a 10 minute penalty.
The Amazing Race Asia 4 - Leg 9 - If teams got the combination wrong they received a 10 minute time penalty.
The Amazing Race Israel 2 - Leg 7 - A time penalty was given based on how many pots were broken.
There's more but I'll stop cluttering up this page just to prove a point. We do not post individual task results in the main table or on the wikipedia as it is irrelevant information. Time penalties listed in the table are for breaking race rules such as quitting a roadblock, settling cab fares with personal items; not failing tasks that are set up to have a pass/fail element. Whilst normally they would send them back to complete the task again with more pots, obviously they couldn't as there weren't enough pots to have this option, so intstead a waiting time of 15 minutes is added. I won't remove it for now as I will await your opinion but please look at other examples of this before insisting on it's inclusion for the sake of inclusion. This defines the task to the teams and should they not be able to do something this is their penalty. Take the pots challenge, the rules state should you fail to complete the task how its defined you get the penalty, all these examples you posted follow the point I've posted. - Yes they do. And a lot of other tasks have penalties for failure as shown above that are specific to tasks. And not once in any table do we post a task rule penalty affecting race results. As it's built into the task. We post race rule break penalties. It's an anomaly that shouldn't be in this article. ARArules (talk) 12:28, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Distance Traveled. edit
Just wondering why the distance traveled has been put at 65,000km, when 40,000 miles is 64.37376 kilometres, infact Wikipedias conversion system puts it at around this amount, so why is it 65,000km? Hoping for common sense here. 86.15.195.205 (talk) 19:44, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
