TUNNY or Tunny? edit

The General report on Tunny (Good, Jack; Michie, Donald; Timms, Geoffrey (1945), General Report on Tunny: With Emphasis on Statistical Methods, UK Public Record Office HW 25/4 and HW 25/5, retrieved 15 September 2010) does not use TUNNY. What then is the justification for the anonymous editor to insist on 'TUNNY'? This is contrary to WP:ALLCAPS --TedColes (talk) 07:44, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Denis Oswald NOT the IOC version edit

I have removed links to Denis Oswald (IOC) before and have done so again, after the links were added back in. Note that Denis Oswald (IOC) was born in 1947 and so could not have possibly worked at the Testery in Bletchley Park during the Second World War, ending in 1945. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.79.203.43 (talk) 05:32, 9 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Date established edit

The General report on Tunny, Jerry Roberts' chapter in Jack Copeland's 'Colossus' and other sources say that the Testery was founded in July 1942. An anonymous editor at 86.157.13.186 disputes this, but, as yet, has not cited sources or used this discussion page to justify a different view. There are a number of other matters, including using 'TUNNY' instead of 'Tunny' that (s)he insists on without justification. The recent deletion of the 'Bibliography' section does not make the main text any more valid. I do think that this editor should consult the following as well as Wikipedia guidelines on overlinking WP:OVERLINK

colonel testers section report edit

as of printing in 2006, Donald Michie mentions on page 246 of copelands colossus that there is a separate report on the testery. he writes that it is still classified. now, we are 17 years later, is the name of this report know, maybe declassified? 46.15.69.163 (talk) 19:06, 2 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

As far as I know, this report is still classified.--TedColes (talk) 16:49, 3 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
