Halafian Culture in general? edit

It would be nice if someone would do an article on the Halafian Culture in general. This article kind of confusingly deals with Tel Halaf and the entire Halafian culture, without really distinguishing between or defining the two. Thanks. 74.75.36.40 20:42, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tell Halaf is an archaeological site, so this page should exist. I agree that another page should be made termed Halaf culture and that it should not redirect to here. I oppose changing the name of this page to "Guzana"; the site was only named that way during a short period of its existence; it's silly to refer to "Guzana" in an article dealing with prehistory or another period for which we do not know the name of Tell Halaf. -- Zoeperkoe (talk) 04:48, 4 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Page "halaf culture" must will be create immediately. Why page "halaf culture" assign to page "halaf (archeologic site)"? 94.24.208.27 (talk) 07:01, 6 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

List of cities beginning with Tell edit

There must be an article (or list) like that! Böri (talk) 12:49, 17 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Tell is an Arabic word meaning hill. It is used to designate archaeological sites. There is no need for a list of sites with names starting with tell, especially since it is often left out (Tell Halaf is also often simply called Halaf). See for example List of archaeological sites by country#Syria.--Zoeperkoe (talk) 13:45, 17 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

"The site, which dates to the 6th millennium BCE, was a Hittite ruling city at first" edit

This doesn't make sense - the Hittites didn't appear until half way through the 2nd millennium BCE. How to correct it? Rp (talk) 10:00, 24 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
