Chucky edit

An unsourced bit of trivia I've heard is that the robot is a special effect from one of the Chucky films with its outer skin off. Does anyone have anything to confirm this? Bride of lister 13:46, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't think it's Chucky, but rather something creepily similar. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.188.172.165 (talkcontribs)

If you google "Technologic" and "Chucky" there are quite a few message board postings stating that it is indeed the Chucky animatronic technology. Mrrealtime (talk) 00:28, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I wasn't able to find a source for this outside forum posts. If someone finds one, please add it to the article. - Brian Kendig (talk) 15:50, 24 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

YTMND edit

There is a popular YTMND meme this song is associated with; it is set to an animated GIF of Osaka from Azumanga Daioh propping her head on a table and moving it from side to side while seemingly lip-synching the song's vocals. (Evidently, it was popular enough to warrant Technologic's inclusion on the official YTMND: The Soundtrack, Volume 3.) As per the apparent controversy of mentioning YTMND fads in Wikipedia articles, I'd like to ask whether or not we should make any mention of this or at least list Technologic under Category:Internet memes. Tony Myers 17:24, 17 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

The YTMND wiki was specifically created to counter Wikipedia's unwillingness to acknowledge YTMND fads and culture. It contains an article on "Technologic" and its associated fad. As for inclusion at Category:Internet memes, I believe that should asked in the appropriate discussion page and not here. Just64helpin 17:53, 17 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Music Video Picture edit

Okay now, let's be frank- is that creepy image from the music video absolutely necessary? It doesn't add too much to the article, and it just makes me cringe when I see it. The Bone III 22:55, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

It illustrates the "robot alien baby" described in the article. I see no reason why it should be removed. Just64helpin

"Vocoded" Bass Line edit

I don't know if the bassline is actually achieved using a vocoder- there's a digital effect that can make the bass sound like "yeah", just like wah pedals can make a guitar sound like "wah".

Fair use rationale for Image:Technologic.DaftPunk.single.jpg edit

Image:Technologic.DaftPunk.single.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:06, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Daft Hands edit

Would the inclusion of the youtube video "Daft Hands" warrant inclusion? The original creator went on a talk show circuit for it a while back, and there's been a wave of copycats ever since. Feedback (politely)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr.troughton (talkcontribs) 20:44, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wasn't "Daft Hands" set to the song "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger"? In any case, notability is verifiable by citing reliable sources. Just64helpin 21:13, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Good call, I just found that out myself, actually. Ignore this then!

Mr.troughton 16:31, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

their has been daft hands immitations set to the song Technologic, the original daft hands was Harder, Better, Faster Stronger. Legalways (talk) 22:30, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Title edit

The part about the name being a combination of "techno" and "logic" is a classic case of "citation needed". When I read the word "technologic", I think of the adjective for "technology". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.55.144.33 (talk) 19:45, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have to agree. There's no sources for this. I'm removing the sentence. Douglasr007 (talk) 02:32, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

My take is that it was probably a mistranslation of "Technology", since in French "Technologique" means "technological", which somehow got truncated to "Technologic"... or, it could just be a portmanteau of "techno" and "logic" as originally suggested. Formats edit

In the Formats section, (at the right top, under the picture) it lists cd, and 12", but NOT digital. i have an mp3 of this song, bought on amazon.com, and I am absolutely sure itunes has one, too. (though their format is m4a i think.) so, should someone put mp3, m4a, both, or would they just put digital, or is that kind of thing not added to these articles? if not, i think it should be. like, if someone looks at it, sees the absence of "digital", or "mp3", and assumes it is not available in digital format, and does not look further? that would suck. anyways, I am putting a link to MP3, until somebody else cares to edit it. sorry if i am wrong in doing it, or whatever. genre edit

also, i think the genre is wrong. in my copy of the song, from the original album,(human after all) it is Dance. and the radio edit of the song, (in album musique vol.1:1993-2005) it is electronica. but none of these are in the genre. they are house and electro. there is a difference between elctro and electronica. i think whoever added those genres, just took the genres that daft punk are most known for. but a lot of their songs are different genres than what they are known for. even in the album human after all, there are two songs with a different genre than the rest. so, again, until someone changes it, i am editing it to include dance. mostly because i haven't edited much yet. Mschooler93 (talk) 09:30, 18 June 2011 (UTC) ok, never mind. there are a f***ing lot of different "dance" genres. personally, i don't think half of them are really necessary.
