GA Review edit

I am going to have to fail this article's GA nomination. There are multiple MOS and referencing issues that will take extensive work to fix. Below is a list of the major issues:

  • This article needs much more referencing. For example, the sections "Before the fall of Ayutthaya", "Defense the country and expansion of the kingdom", "Royal trade with foriegner" and "Foreign affairs" (among others) are completely unreferenced.
  • Short sections/paragraphs. Paragraphs of one or two sentences should be expanded or combined with other paragraphs. Sections of less than a full paragraph (at least three sentences) should be expanded or combined with other sections. There should not be multiple successive paragraphs of only a paragraph.
  • The "Miscellaneous" section should be deconstructed and the points combined with their relevant sections. This is basically a trivia section, which is discouraged by MOS guidelines.
  • The "Children" section is probably not necessary. The fact that he had 21 sons and 9 daughters can be combined in another section, and only his children who were notable in an of themselves need to be named (and wikilinked). If none of them really did anything notable, it can just be mentioned that he had that many children and they do not all need to be named.
  • Web references all need publishers and access dates, and the title should be the link, not have the link next to it.
  • The images are bunched up in a couple of locations. Spread them out through the article, so they flow better.

When these issues are done, and you have done a complete copyedit of the article for spelling and prose, then the article can be renominated for GA. If you have any questions, please let me know on my talk page. Dana boomer (talk) 16:08, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
