SI Units edit

The article includes SI units in the specification of the TTXGP motor-cycle regulations. It is a traditional that official Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix qualification times or race-results are only in mph and no metric equivalent in km/h is given. A reason for this may be due to the historic tradition and also as the Isle of Man is not a member of the European Community and there is no under-lying legal obligation to use SI units. Proposal to Redirect back to TTXGP edit

Although the letters of this racing series originally stood for Time Trial Xtreme Grand Prix, it was called this due to it being part of TT festival on the Isle of Man. In 2010 it began organizing and promoting the electric motorcycle racing series in North America and Europe. Also in 2010, the Isle of Man replaced the TTXGP with its own race, the TTZero. eGrandPrix, the parent corporation of TTXGP, kept the name TTXGP but has not referred to the series using the words in the title of this article since 2009, and its official website indicates that it should be called "TTXGP" [1] Hbmallin (talk) 16:05, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
