Hilarious
editSo the current state of this article is hilarious:
"Quality" is not an adjective that would be applied to the music video for "Summer Girls", nor for any other music videos in LFO's oeuvre. The video features the three gentlemen in the band, dressed like classic late-90s vintage d-bags, on a pier of some sort and later a beach. Our dignity-free trio walks around flirting with bikini-clad girls, some of whom are implausibly cute given the trio of men in question. Many, however, would more likely be classed as "anorexic" by 2008 standards. At one point in the video there's some break dancing. The guy with blond hair "raps" to the camera, demonstrating the remarkable ability to deliver lines like "When you take a sip, you buzz like a hornet/Billy Shakespeare wrote a whole bunch of sonnets" with no evident impulse to kill himself.
However, I don't think this passes wiki's guidelines. Someone should edit it, but I think it's too good to change.
Racist / propaganda song?
editWell I must say to me this song seems very much like "bought". Advertising-like references and this overly prominent and, at least to me it seems so, racist line "Chinese food makes me sick"... Has there never been anything on the media about that? --91.14.255.61 (talk) 22:55, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I surprised that you don't about how much this song has been made fun of. It's up there with like worst song stuff or whatever. It can't be considered the worst rap or anything, I think that goes to something about Billy Crystal is Scarface or that cruddy Good Grief song from Hackers. - I wouldn't assume that line is racist. Chinese food makes many people (including me) sick due to monosodium glutamate. Matchups 16:19, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
