"Transmission 2" edit
"Transmission 2" is linked to "Stem" only because it forms part of the same CD track as "Stem/Long Stem" on the Deluxe Edition CD release. It wasn't contained on the same track as "Stem/Long Stem" on the original CD. Both CD's sleeve listings show "Transmission 2" to be a separate piece to "Stem". (I don't know about the vinyl LP's banding and track listing.)
Musically and conceptually "Transmission 2" is unconnected to "Stem". "Transmission 1", "Transmission 2" and "Transmission 3" form a suite of incidental pieces and "Transmission 2" is connected musically to "Midnight in a Perfect World".
