Genre
editThis album is a disco album. You can listen to the title track here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YchzU2cEB_E Kthejoker (talk) 04:40, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
- First, that link is a copyright violation.
- Second, one song on an album that you interpret as disco (as opposed to R&B, funk or any one of a dozen related genres) does not reflect the entire album. Please provide a reliable source that supports that it's a disco album and stop genre warring and adding unsupported genres here. Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:40, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
This is literally the most ridiculous power trip I have ever seen on Wikipedia. "That link is a copyright violation"? That's something I would've felt very clever for having written when I was 11. And then to not only reveal yourself as a complete musical idiot and confuse disco with funk and R&B, but to then jump feet first into administrative overstepping by conflating - putting your position in the VERY BEST light - a disagreement on what constitutes disco with "adding knowingly incorrect information" on my talk page is borderline defamatory. You, sir, are a scoundrel and a know-nothing, and I pity anyone who has to deal with your miserable weasel self in real life. Ta. Kthejoker (talk) 05:23, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
- It's not a power trip, it's how Wikipedia works. You can't use a link to a copyright violation as a source. You can't use your own ears to say that a recording is or is not a specific genre. The general term is WP:NOR. The specifics in regard to music is explained at WP:GWAR, which I linked on your talk page. I don't care for your character assassination. It may have worked for Trump in the election, it doesn't work on Wikipedia. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:29, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
