There seems to be some confusion with the boats in the 1880s. There were two Exeters and one or two Covent Garden?
Cornishman, 19 February 1885 p4 – Covent Garden went out to practice.
Cornishman, 16 September 1886 p4 – new lifeboat Exeter arrived by train to replace the old boat also called Exeter (which was in service in 1880). Jowaninpensans (talk) 23:27, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
