Is it possible that the neo-gothic sketch of St. Nikolai is reversed? Having been fortunate enough to recently visit this beautiful edifice, I recall that the outer wall of the tower is approximately tangent to the wall of the main structure that is parallel to Willy-Brandt-strasse. The sketch seems to show the outer tower wall to be tangent to the opposite wall. Qed479 (talk) 01:23, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

Adjusting translation

I've been trying to clean up this translation (it looks like a machine translation of the German article - or a word by word dictionary translation). Even with my basic German, the German article makes more sense to me in places! The paragraph about the reformation has me flummoxed, but the rest, though going slow, I should be able to manage, but feel free to pitch in. John (Jwy) 06:23, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Memorial against the war

The church is described in the post-war years as a "memorial against the war," but it's not very clear what this means. As a memorial it should commemorate the bombing, with the destruction of parts of the city and those who died; but "against the war" implies opposition to something. Opposition to "the war" doesn't quite make sense, because World War II is a completed historical event, not something ongoing that can be opposed. It could be simply a war memorial, or it could be anti-war in general, or opposed to bombing of cities, or something else... but this should be clarified from a good source. --Reuben (talk) 05:13, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
