Claim about depictions of fetal development
editThe claim that this temple is "well known" for its depictions of fetal development long before the invention of the microscope has been repeatedly added to this page without any citation. The claim has been removed and restored several times already.
I looked for any support for this claim. It appears frequently on pseudoscience sites making claims about supernatural or extraterrestrial sources of ancient scientific knowledge, which show blurry, cropped black-and-white images of carvings which resemble a sperm entering an egg. However, no credible source claims that these carvings actually depict a sperm and egg. Rather, they are low-quality images of a motif depicting a snake approaching a moon.
I understand that some people may have an earnest belief that this represents a sperm and egg, but if those people continue to insert that claim with no credible source then a moderator should perhaps consider locking this page. The bluefish (talk) 21:57, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
