I would like a better public domain picture of a Square piano. If someone could find one.-Doktor Faustus 9:50, 24 August 2006

There's a more representative one shown in the Polish piano article, Image:Muzeum Sułkowskich - zabytkowy fortepian.JPG - Mireut 00:14, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

English double action with check, ca.1830 (developed from Geib, 1786

American single action with overdamper, ca.1870 (developed from Petzold, 1809)

I'll trace the public domain diagram of Zumpe's action from the Penny Cyclopedia Charles Knight & Co., London 1843, which is reproduced in the 1880s edition of Groves', and in the 1911 Britannica, as well as in Harding, The Pianoforte, Gresham Books, Old Woking, Surrey, 1978. p.37, since it shows he used rear guides but I'm not sure how accurate the scale and all the parts are. - Mireut 00:04, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
