The 300 Spartans edit

I believe mention should be made of the 1962 movie "The 300 Spartans"
-D.

Companies using Spartan edit

Spartan Bicycles used (are they still in business?) a profile of a stylized Spartan helmet in the badge riveted to the head tube of their frames.

Spartan Sports www.spartansports.com uses a profile of a stylized Spartan warrior with a sword that has the company name on the blade.

Dictionary edit

See http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/spartan for what many people think of when they encounter the word "spartan". Simple, frugal, or austere.

the movie isnt a true account of what happened...dissapointing to say the least. maybe a rewrite was in order —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.97.72.45 (talk) 05:10, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

Video Games edit

Halo should be put in, seeing as how the main character and enhanced humans like him are referred to as "Spartans". 174.113.134.157 (talk) 12:38, 13 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
