The suggestion to merge this with diagonal is a good one, if so best merge this under the title r-agonal, as this is the generic term for all these specific lines. "diagonal" is the best known of all though, "space diagonal" I hardly ever use.

Hello, in calculus we learned that to find the space diagonal of a rectangular prism you can apply the following formula:


 

x, y, and z being the length width and height. Is this a real formula because our teacher couldn't remember the name of it? If so, what is it called? He said it might be Herod's Theorem. 216.179.3.1 (talk) 03:29, 22 November 2007 (UTC) Thats simply the Pythagorean Theorem, or a simply coralary, found by applying the Pythagorean Theorem twice.
