Talk:South Cambie

should be about the real neighbourhod, not the city-defined one edit

The use of Vancouver's official definition of this neighbourhood is not in common use; the common use is for the shopping district lining both sides of Cambie Street, and in residential terms refers to the housing area immediately east of the street as well as that to the west; that it ends at Oak to the west also conflicts with usage for that area; "Oak & 16th" etc......official neighbourhoods are misleading, some way must be found to re-justify these article names and work around/over city-defined neighbourhoods; casual use citations should be out there by the dozens.Skookum1 (talk) 13:01, 14 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Ref on Jeremiah Rogers edit

It can be put in the article, and there should really be a Jeremiah Rogers article, as he's very prominent in the early history of Vancouver in various ways, that the mechanized logging equipment he used, or one piece of it, had been a "steam traction road engine" originally brought from Scotland to be tried out for freight use on the Cariboo Road; here is a cite for that, I don't have time to fix the article or write the new one, maybe there's more on him in a Jericho article if there is one (?).Skookum1 (talk) 13:01, 14 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
