editRe: "In music, a soli is a section of music where a whole section of a musical ensemble is playing the same thing at the same time.": This is not accurate. The term has two musical meanings: It is used in an orchestral piece where a string section part is divided with only one player to a part. It is used in big-band arranging to mean that one section continues to play while the other sections are tacit. TheScotch 10:37, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
