Pink lined region?
editI can't quite figure out what the figure-8 shaped pink-outlined region indicates in the image (File:SE2014Oct23P.png) Not the area of totality, since it's not total anywhere. Not area of partial eclipse visibility, since (from the animation below), a partial eclipse is much more widely visible. What does it outline?
I will venture a guess that it outlines the regions from which the sun is (partially) eclipsed at sunrise (left lobe) or sunset (right lobe)-- but it would be nice to state that explicitly Geoffrey.landis (talk) 18:15, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
