Suspension and sol edit

I am surprised to find this entry as a stub. I removed a few of the spelling errors and cleared up a little bit, removing some strange sentences. I think that the article should highlight the difference between a sol and a suspension if there is any and that several more examples of sols should be given. In the suspension page, the author claims that a sol is stable whereas a suspension eventually sediments. Both articles need some improvement anyway. I will see if I can do something in the future after I check some references. People in surface chemistry are typically quite strict about definitions.

Sol vs. Emulsion edit

I came here hoping for an explanation of the difference, but was disappointed. If anyone can incorporate into this article, I believe that would be useful information. --66.28.243.126 (talk) 19:57, 14 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Colloidal Suspension edit

After reading the colloid and suspension articles, the term "colloidal suspension" doesn't seem to make any sense. It can only be one or the other, right? Shouldn't a sol just be a colloid, since it doesn't settle? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.95.218.254 (talk) 15:32, 31 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

And now it was even worse, with the headdesk-inducing expression "colloidal solution suspension". I edited that part to just say that a sol is a colloid. Devil Master Reloaded (talk) 11:50, 8 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
