Fair use rationale for Image:StevieWonder-SongsInTheKeyOfLife.jpg

edit

Image:StevieWonder-SongsInTheKeyOfLife.jpg is being used on th article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Contusion

edit

The article's box says that track number four "contusion" but on the link, it brings me to the wikipedia article "Bruise". Pyramid Productions (talk) 17:27, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Critical Reaction?

edit

Did no prominent critic ever note how bloody awful this song is? How inferior to Wonder's general work, much less Ellington's? How much like a fanfare for circus freaks? I realize all these reactions are subjective, but can no one else have felt this way? I'm honestly curious -- wasn't there any public outcry against this wretched song? It was a big hit, so it seems like yours is a minority opinion. Personally, I love the song, and I especially love the instrumental interlude that comes after he sings "You can feel it all over." It's also great for dancing.—MiguelMunoz (talk) 17:50, 7 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Instrumental Interlude

edit

I had always heard that the instrumental interlude that follows "You can feel it all over" was borrowed from a specific piece by Duke Ellington. I have no idea if this is true, and I've never heard it in any Ellington recording, although I've hardly done a comprehensive survey. Does anyone know if this is true, and what song it's taken from? If this is true, it belongs in this article. (I realize that somebody may have just guessed that this was the case, so there may be no basis for this, but I'd like to know.) —MiguelMunoz (talk) 17:50, 7 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
