She relayed that her boyfriend/husband had been called to the military and would likely be shipped to Europe. She was in angst over this and wrote this song. Ultimately her man did not go as the war ended. When sent the song to her publisher around 1945, he suggested she sign it as "Ed Burt" to aid in acceptance. I have not been able to find this text again. Anyone know about this?
