Is this an amateur or semi-professional competition ? edit

Finance nature of competition needs to be mentioned. Purely amateur or do any players get paid ? Did anything change when Rugby allowed professionalism ? Rcbutcher (talk) 00:09, 30 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sydney University Football Club edit

In which year did the club begin? The club claims 1863. However, according to the club wiki page it is questionable. A recent update to the Shute Shield page mentioned a game with Newington College in 1863. But the college had only begun in July of that year with just 16 students. According to this newsletter put out by the College, the rugby program didn't start until 1869. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spunkwinkle (talkcontribs) 04:52, 27 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
