"The Ship" vs. "Ship"

edit

I have decided to use "the Ship" when referring to the actual vehicle, and "Ship" when the article explicitly refers to the A.I., and more liberally when referring to Ship after its A.I. emerged as a character. Additionally, "the Ship A.I." should be used where using "Ship" alone my be come across as awkward, clumsy, or unclear. For example, when it uses the name "Professor" rather than "Ship", it is still the Ship A.I. Chris Griswold 17:13, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Gender Neutral

edit

I chose to change all assumed male-gendered pronouns to gender-neutral pronoun, because Ship is a non-gendered computer program. If anyone can provide evidence to the contrary, please do so. I do not take the name "Professor" as evidence that Ship is male. Chris Griswold 17:15, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

In X-men Forever, captions, Jean and Cable refer to Prosh as "he" and "him", but by then he already has a humanoid appearance. Dizzy D 09:58, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Did he look different from his earlier X-Force appearances? Also, time had passed, so perhaps he decided or found himself to be gendered.
Not that different from his last appearance in X-force, but it's the only comic I have here with Prosh/Professor/Ship in it. Most others are currently many miles away. Dizzy D 20:26, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

This page should be renamed to the characters most recent and unique name. Any picture added to this page would most likely be a photo of the character as Prosh -- 69.182.73.240 20:18, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm not so sure. The article should have a good general and useful name. It shouldn't be renamed each time the character gets a new name. (Emperor 12:32, 6 October 2007 (UTC))Reply
