the band Sexual Chocolate in Coming to America

edit

The film's star, Eddie Murphy, appears in numerous roles, including the (terrible) lead singer of this band, Randy Watson. They perform a version of Whitney Houston's "The Greatest Love of All", which is memorable for its awfulness and for the lead singer's repeated exclamations of "Sexual Chocolate!" at the end, in a vain attempt to elicit applause. Despite a room packed with people, only a few dispersed claps are heard.

Referring to the lead singer, a single member of the audience says, "This boy is good." In response, another man says, "Yea, good and terrible."

There. Now revert that. --DanielCD 21:38, 13 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Do we really need a DAB page for this term?

edit

As of April 27, 2017 these entries are listed. Aside from some style issues, I question how valid most of them are, and whether disambiguation is even necessary. Hoof Hearted (talk) 20:23, 27 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Notes
Coming to America  Y  Y The band name is mentioned by name in the film dialog, but in a scene that only lasts about 2-and-a-half minutes.
Haddaway  N Google searches only link Haddaway to "Sexual Chocolate" through other wikis.
Ryan Sidebottom  Y  Y Described as a "dressing room nickname", it's doubtful that the general public is even aware of this moniker.
Mark Henry  Y  Y This entry appears to be legitimate and reasonably well-known.
Alanis Morissette  N This usage is actually mentioned at Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, but it would be quite a stretch to include
The World Series of Pop Culture (season 1)  Y  N The name of a team that lost in the first round of a TV reality show contest. The show itself only lasted 2 seasons.
Jon Jones  Y  Y Almost appears as a joke as the source for the article ends with "Also, his nickname used to be Sexual Chocolate."
Hot Chip  N Google finds that this song appears on their 2003 EP Down with Prince, but this release has no related article on wikipedia.
Stout#Imperial stout  N There is no article for the Foothills Brewing Company.
Jorge Soler  N Google searches only link Soler to "Sexual Chocolate" through other wikis.

There is no wikipedia article for Sexual Chocolate (wine) or SLO Down Wines, so per MOS:DABRL, it shouldn't be added to this DAB. Hoof Hearted (talk) 20:26, 21 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
