NRIS
editMy attempts at fixing a dead link were reverted. I don't want to get involved in a reversion war. But it was reverted with a statement "Do not just simply remove dead links, it has already been tagged as dead link. Fix the link if you can." I did fix the dead link. Now we have the old dead link back. Please explain your actions in putting dead links into to replace valid links to the NRIS database. KudzuVine (talk) 01:05, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- The "link" you provided was just to a search page on the NRIS, not a fix for the dead link.--UnQuébécois (talk) 02:01, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- This was the fix that the original dead link probably referred to. The intended link was nothing but a search page. The web is dynamic and changes. My solution will point to the database and the NRHP Wikiproject will keep it current. This goes to the search page on NRIS that was intended. I personally don't see the need the for the reference. The article is about the Secretary of State and not the building. You have rejected the standard solution. Now you have the personal responsibility in removing the article from Category:All NRHP articles with dead external links. You need to find an alternative source for the NRHP of the building. It would be desirable to make one that will never change. KudzuVine (talk) 02:25, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
