Proposed merge of Sculpture on the Gulf 2003 into Sculpture on the Gulf edit

insufficient content for standalone article Vexations (talk) 17:07, 23 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi there - I am still working on these pages and hope to add photographs and awards. Happy to merge - but just thought you should be aware of this. Could be too many images for one page? But as you say - it might be clearer to have everything on one page. Many thanks. Support all merges. A merge for all events seems appropriate at this point, especially as they seem to be all created by an editor with a clear conflict of interest, and read as very promotional at this point. — HTGS (talk) 23:20, 17 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

COI tag edit

Tagged for COI as the creator of the article, user:Tahatai says on their user page that they are on the board of Sculpture on the Gulf. COI needs to be properly disclosed and the article needs to be checked with this in light.Possibly (talk) 06:08, 2 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I am an unpaid board member, am only on the board for the 2021 version, (have been on it since Sept 2020) and checked this very point with a senior Wikipedia editor first. But thank you. Tahatai (talk) 06:16, 2 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Update: I no longer have any involvement with the Sculpture on the Gulf Board. I quit in early 2021 and have no current connection with any of the organisation or publicity: so I don't believe I have any longer any conflict of interest. Nevertheless, because of my past involvement, I totally understand why there might be a perceived conflict of interest. And so I will restrict my editing to matters of fact as is allowed under the Wikipedia COI guidelines. I will concentrate on uploading images of sculpture to Wikimedia Commons each year the exhibition is on as I live nearby. I hope that is satisfactory. I will encourage other editors I know to work on the main body of the article. Tahatai (talk) 07:20, 24 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
