This doesn't appear to be made up or clear nonsense. I've therefore replaced the {{nonsense}} with {{prod}} and added a few cleanup tags.--VectorPotential Talk 00:15, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Genuine Act?

edit

Is this, by itself, a proper Act of Parliament? What was its chapter? Or was it simply part of another a act? Gabbe (talk) 14:29, 25 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Free milk was a consequence of the Education Act 1944 according to this source: Parkin JM (1982). "Free milk for children". Arch. Dis. Child. 57 (2): 89–91. PMC 1627518. PMID 7065719. {{cite journal}}: Unknown parameter |month= ignored (help) I'll go ahead and merge this page into that one. Gabbe (talk) 18:07, 25 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Blatant hoax

edit

No such Act ever existed. Free school milk was introduced by the Provision of Free Milk Regulations 1946, made under Section 49 of the 1944 act. See Wikipedia:Reference_desk/Humanities#Purported School Milk Act 1946. Unfortunately Wikipedia's error has been reproduced elsewhere. DuncanHill (talk) 15:53, 14 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
