Merge proposal
editThere is already a page about guggal. Although the "save guggal" movement has attracted a bit of attention, it does not appear to be sufficient to merit its own article. It would be better added as a section to the guggal article. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:21, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Respected Sir/Madam, I think that Save Guggul Movement is a conservation movement like the Green Belt Movement. It should not be merged into COmmiphora wightii. Commiphora wighrii weblink is allready provided in this page. - With respect, the Save Guggul Movement is focused on conserving a single species, the commiphora wightii, while the Green Belt Movement is a much more widely focused effort to promote "environmental conservation, community development and capacity building". (Quoted from the Green Belt Movement page.) Since the Save Guggul Movement's aim is so sharply focused, and since the only reason one would want to save the plant is because of its medicinal uses, it makes great sense to include the information about the plant conservation movement on the page about the plant, rather than in a completely separate article.

- This should be redirected to the article on guggal itself (with just a single line mention of this movement).
