This may be the only town of India, for which other than lead section only temples section exist. Isn't the Geography and demographic section needed for this? GDibyendu (talk) 17:12, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Vanshi:

On what basis the Rashtrakutas are classified as Surya vanshi? Are there any inscription found? i object and declare that they are chandra vanshi. There is mentions in Tholkappiam and Puranananooru abou Velirs and 18 kshatriya clans who hailed from Dwarka. Dwarka refers to city of Krishna which is itself a Kshatriya clan Vrishni yadu vanshi. So all these 18 clans must be Chandra or yadu vanshi. Cholas are also one of them. But cholas have declared they are Surya vanshi in Kanyakumari inscription, Thiruvalangadu inscription and Vikrama chola Ula. If cholas are one of velirs then why they declared surya vanshi. It is very important to mention that Dwarka as claimed wasnt mentioned as Dwarka but Thuvarai in tamil literature and that the Thuvarai was ruled by a Pandian king Irunkovel. irunkovel breaked as Irul, Ko and Vel. Irul refers to dark or black and identical with Krish in sanskrit and Ko means king and vel refers to velir. So Irunkovel may be claimed as Krishna but mentioned as Pandya king in Tamil literature. All these are mentioned in Tamil literature.
