Sandwip is an Upazilla of bangladesh. I am suggesting to keep the article Sandwip Upazila as main and Sandwip a Redirect. রাহাত | ✉ 06:42, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I think it is the usual procedure to have separate pages about each geographic feature and each political division, so there would be one page for the island, and one for the upazila that includes more than this one island. I've posted a notice at Wikipedia talk:Notice board for Bangladesh-related topics#Merger proposal for Sandwip Upazila with Sandwip to see what members of wikiproject:Bangladesh think about this matter. Somone has written in the lead of Sandwip that Sandwip is a part of Sandwip Uazila, it is not true....there are 15 unions under Sandwip Upazila. None of them is called Sandwip. So we can't say that Sandwip is a part of Sandwip Uazila. Whole Sandwip island is an upazilla unlike Hatiya situated beside Sandwip which consists of 10 unions and 6 of them are isolated "Char"(small island). রাহাত | ✉ 06:39, 21 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
