Conservative or conservative

On the inference that the line in his bio about his family indicates their affiliation with the Conservative movement in Judaism and not some sort of general, unspecified conservativism, I'm capitalising the C. Of course, if I'm wrong, please change it back -- with a citation if possible. For that matter, a citation would be good in any event. :) Be bold,Savant1984 00:46, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Rob Tapert

Can someone change the page's grammar to note that one does not "immigrate" from Russia. Apparently the scene never occured in the movie, it was only a device for the movie trailer. Raimi probably never even made the trailer, as I believe it was made before the movie script was even finalized. --alan d

The same thing happened in the Leslie Nielsen movie that had a takeoff on the scene from "Ghost" -- where he and the actress were playing with a pottery wheel. There was never any intention of including that scene in the movie, but because it played so well in the previews, they added it to the movie script. --corvus13

On his bio, it refers to him as an alumnus of Michigan State. Considering he dropped out after three semesters and never completed, can you still call him an alumnus? Just curious.

Sam's grew up in the Village of Franklin,Michigan. The Raimi's are not listed in the Polk's City Directory for Birmingham for all the years he grew up. This error is due to the fact that Franklin residents use the Birmingham School District for their children education, so Sam graduated from a high school in Birmingham Sam's was born in Royal Oak because that is were the nearest hospital was. Sam's grandfather and grandmother were from Poland, they spoke Yiddish at home per the 1930 U. S. Census. The Russian ancestry bit come from the fact that modern Poland did not exist before 1919. The part of Poland that the Raimi came from was once part of Russia.

Yeah, unless you are talking of a big time political helper, Sam Raimi din't really cooperated with a big quantity, I think it should be edited out-Dark Dragon Flame 16:41, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

I agree. Since he's not a major contributor, and that campaign contribution website shows that he's contributed more to special-interest groups than either of the two major parties. His filmography looks terrible! There is no need to explain what the movies are about, that's why they're linked to entire pages on the movie. Pronunciation

My kids just pointed out to me that in the Japanese version on Spiderman 3, Raimi's name is transliterated so that it's pronounced "RYE-MEE". This surprised me. Does anyone know for sure how it's pronounced? A pronunciation guide in the article would be helpful to dispel doubts. Acidtoyman (talk) 23:18, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

If you were to have any native Japanese speaker read his name, that's how they would pronounce it. For the record, Bruce Campbell pronounces it "RAY-MEE". I would go by that as Bruce has known Sam since high school. Fearsyth (talk) 00:38, 5 November 2011 (UTC)

The Last of Us Film Adaptation

I have a source which confirms that Raimi will produce but not direct the The Last of Us film adaptation. However the article currently has Raimi listed as the director rather than the producer. I tried to correct the article myself, but struggled with the formatting. Therefore I'd like to request that someone correct that please.
