Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Longboat Key, Florida, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Joe Perry (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Susanville, California weather edit

A kitten for you

Hiya Aoa8212: You know there's a big point on what you said about the "average low [temperature] right below it" (paraphrase).... I missed that, probably everyone else through that page since whoever put the table missed it. Good catch and thank you for being persistent in changing it. Just please always leave edit summaries and it will be a lot easier for the next person through to follow your logic! Ellin Beltz (talk) 14:51, 28 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Ellin. Aoa8212 (talk) 04:02, 29 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

And now someone else is reverting... let's do some research and find out how they do it on OTHER pages, and take the whole problem to the "talk" page and hash it out. I don't want to start an edit war over something before I see what the consensus has been on some other pages. I thought it was right the first time, then I saw your point and now we just have to find out how it's been done elsewhere. Might take me a day or two, it's mid-week for me. Cheers! Ellin Beltz (talk) 04:45, 29 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Ellin. Every page I've seen with a weather chart shows the average high for the entire year next to the average low for the entire year. It makes absolutely no sense the way it was and is now being constantly reverted. Thanks for doing the research, hopefully that will lead to this finally being resolved. Aoa8212 (talk) 04:53, 29 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hiya Aoa! I think we got it fixed!! Check Talk:Susanville, California#Weather table to see Soap's reply! If you have any questions, leave me a message on my talk page!! I'll get right back to you! Ellin Beltz (talk) 01:21, 30 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Adak Island edit

The area of the island is not 1800 square kilometers as you left it. You probably want to either revert your edit or replace the square miles with 274.6. You're also adding undue precision - I'm not sure where those numbers come from, but 54.49 km long (and 33.86 miles) are unlikely to be right and they aren't the values that were there before (it used to have three decimals of precision, 54.5 km). In general, I'd say it's a bad idea to take a converted value and back-fit it to re-convert to the original value. My efforts at measuring with satellite images produce a length (SW to NE) of 32.67 miles or 52.58 km, but that's WP:OR. Regards, Tarl N. (discuss) 05:36, 11 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

I'll edit the page with your numbers instead. Aoa8212 (talk) 07:46, 11 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your edits of the article United States Armed Forces edit

I have reverted your edits of the article United States Armed Forces because the established date preference in the article has been standardized since October 2016. The second line of code in the article says "Use dmy dates|date=October 2016". Cuprum17 (talk) 16:49, 14 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

It says the article is written in American English, which of course uses mdy dates, but not worth a revert war about it. I only saw the part about American English being used, not dmy dates, which seems contradictory, but whatever. Aoa8212 (talk) 16:37, 14 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Date using dmy format are commonly used on many military articles. It is, of course, not mandatory but is somewhat customary. The article before October 2015 had a mixture of date formats and the dmy format was chosen to conform the dates in the article to one format. It could have been formatted in mdy format, but that wasn't the case. Many of the references cited in the article do use dmy format because of military standard usage so dmy was chosen to avoid reader confusion. Cuprum17 (talk) 16:49, 14 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

That's understandable, thanks. Aoa8212 (talk) 03:59, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

had vs. then edit

Hi, I see that you changed "had immigrated" to "then immigrated" in Joel Pollak. That's what his self-published bio said. But the source that we are quoting says "had". Perhaps they had immigrated and went back to South Africa to have the baby. I don't know, but since our source says "had" then I think we should say "had" too. Confirmation of which is right would be welcome, if you can find it, but for now I'm putting it back to "had". OK? – Margin1522 (talk) 02:15, 19 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

It's pretty confusing language, not sure what it was trying to convey exactly. I suppose we should leave it like that until we get clarification... Aoa8212 (talk) 09:38, 19 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

I agree on both counts. Thanks. – Margin1522 (talk) 11:39, 19 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I found a source for the parents moving, and rewrote it in a way that avoids this question. The South African site seems to be down at the moment, but will fix up more once it gets back online. – Margin1522 (talk) 12:37, 19 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

January 2019 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Antifa (United States); that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Tsumikiria (T/C) 10:35, 8 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sherdog has it listed as a "TKO (Submission to Punches)". However, on Wikipedia it says "Submission (punches)". In that case, it should be edited to reflect that on Wikipedia. The way it reads now is misleading.Aoa8212 (talk) 05:53, 19 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
