The article says that Strand was splitup by Grote Mandrenke, while the article Burchardi flood says that the Burchardi flood did. As much as images found on the net by google tell me, the article "Burchardi flood" is correct while "Grote Mandrenke" isn't. Strand seems to have survived the Grote Mandrenke, while most of North Friesland polders/lands and Rungholt didn't. Said: Rursus ☺ ★ 10:12, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Strand was formed by the Grote Mandrenke (before it this area was well inland). The Burchardi flood then completed the damage and split Strand. The Germn Wikipedia artcle on "Nordfriesische Inseln" has a map of the area before 1362. --195.128.251.250 (talk) 00:06, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

North Frisian

In the article there is a hidden comment “the compound word "Mandrenke" is not Dutch but N. Frisian and formed by bishop Bruhn (bishop in Schleswig from 1350 to 1367): "1362 was ene grote Flot, genahmet de grote Mandrenke." English translation: "In 1362 there was a great flood called "the great men-drowning" ('de grote Mandrenke')."” It's true, that it's not Dutch, but it's North Frisian neither.
