Beta Testing
editI'm beta testing this game right now and there are a few bugs (which us testers are reporting as we find them), but all in all the game has a very nice system. The best way that I can describe it is that it's a Fantasy version of the Age of Empires series. However, the game is in "real-time," so when you want to build a building (let's say, for example, a house for some peasants), it will take usually around 24 hours, but this depends on how many peasants you have assigned as builders/engineers. A "tick" in the game is about 15-minutes, so the miners/lumberers won't bring in a piece of gold or wood until around 15-minutes has passed.
Beyond that, the PvP elements of the game are also good. You will not be randomly attacked, although you can mutually accept combat with up to three other nations at this time. Also, you can form an "alliance" (or guild, essentially) with other nations of your Faction (the type of nation, which is based on the God that you follow).
While there is no "official" release date set, I did contact the support staff about this, and Terrence, the member who replied, said that they are "shooting for a September (2007) launch." Also, he said that if current testers purchase five or more "Booster Packs" they will get to keep their nation they are working on and the troops they purchase (plus a couple of other bonuses). If not, they will have to purchase the client, but it will not be that expensive.
Additionally, the game will not have any monthly fees, although you can optionally purchase booster packs to bring you more troops into your army. Right now these packs come with 8 troops/soldiers/spells, however this might be changed when the final game is released. Also, testers get 8 free booster packs, released one-per-day for the first eight days they test. I should add that Booster Packs are $2.95 USD currently, but again, this may possibly change when the final version is released.
I hope this gives you guys a little more information about this game, but feel free to ask me if you have any questions about it! --Brahman 17:42, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Saga eagles.jpg
editImage:Saga eagles.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
