Not true edit

"Novell Linux Desktop 9 is essentially SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 with Ximian Desktop as the user interface."

I disagree. I know that NLD9 wouldn't exist if it wasn't for SLES9 and it borrows so much from it, but I know that it was engineered differently. It would've been true if it was "NLD9 is a re-engineered version of SLES9". I don't qualify (yet) as a Linux expert but I'll bet a SUSE expert can confirm my point here (that NLD9 is not essentially SLES9). There is a good review posted somewhere in the Web so I'll try to post the link later. --Unbreakable_MJ 23:54, 3 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

SLED 10 edit

Can someone update this page to SLED 10 ..

NEW ARTICLE edit

I have created the article entitled SUSE Linux Distibutions in order to provide an up to date resource for SUSE linux. I am a firm advocator for SUSE and hope that the general wikipedian public agrees on this article becoming the proper article for SUSE Linux. As of now I am on SUSE IRC channels trying to get professionals to clean up this article. To vote on whether this should be main page leave a yes or no comment under this comment --H a m m o 09:47, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Two Complaints
  • where's the infobox? (I'm pretty sure there used to be one)
  • The current version is SP1 (Not sure that info is listed)
I am very interested in collaborating with you and anybody else on this article (That's my image for XGL). SLED is the only OS i use on my personal time, and i feel i have enough knowledge to help with questions.--Taylor 20:12, 26 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Have used openSUSE 10.2 then openSUSE 10.3 and now SLED 10 sp2. Each installed fine.

Now upgrading to SLED: (a) SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 2 - For x86 (b) SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 2 - For AMD64 adn Intel64

Both work with AsRock ConRoe1333-D667 motherboard and Intel Conroe Core 2 Duo processor E6750@2.66GHZ, being NON-Technical when SLED disk arrived I installed the on top x86 which GNOME system monitor says is SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 (i586)

Now about to install Intel64.

errors are mine ;-) Pwparker (talk) 00:46, 5 February 2009 (UTC)PwparkerReply
